Project background: The world's largest single-unit ethylene plant

SABIC Fujian Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is located in the Gulei Petrochemical Base in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. Its 1.5MMTA ethylene and downstream deep processing complex project has a total investment of CNY 44.8 billion. It is currently the world's largest single-unit ethylene plant with a maximum capacity of 1.8MMTA. This project is an important practice of deep integration of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and Saudi Arabia's "2030 Vision", and it is also one of the third batch of major foreign investment special projects of the country. The BOG labyrinth compressor in the low-temperature tank area, as a key equipment of the low-temperature ethylene storage system, directly relates to the safety and efficiency of the entire tank area.

According to on-site feedback, the large-scale low-temperature ethylene BOG labyrinth compressor supplied by Jiangsu Xiya has been continuously and stably operating for more than a month, with normal operation parameters. The vibration value of the compressor main unit is only about 1mm/s, far superior to industry standards, reflecting the extremely high manufacturing precision and installation quality of the unit, and fully meeting the processing requirements of the low-temperature ethylene tank area. This continuous operation achievement marks the effective verification of the reliability of Jiangsu Xiya's large-scale low-temperature BOG labyrinth compressor under actual working conditions. Previously, Jiangsu Xiya has made significant breakthroughs in the development of the core moving equipment of the 550KTA (gas-phase method) polypropylene unit of the Fujian Gulei 1.5MMTA ethylene project, marking an important progress in the domesticization of high-end petrochemical equipment.
